Community Bible Study
Celebrating 50 years of making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, through caring, in-depth Bible study.
Join the celebration by sharing your CBS story and supporting the next 50 years of ministry.
Come see what happens in people's lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our class has female and male core groups, meets weekly on Monday afternoon or Wednesday morning or Thursday morning. We also offer virtual classes through Zoom for those unable to meet with us locally in person.
For 2026-2027, we will be offering two consecutive studies.
Weeks 1 thru 6 - James. The epistle of James is one of the most practical books in the Bible. This course's lessons encourage each class member to lead a more consistent, caring Christian life and to explore the practical application of faith in family and society.
Weeks 7 thru 30 - Genesis 1-22.
Although Genesis is an ancient book, it speaks to some of the biggest questions we have today. Is there a God? If so, what is He like? Why is there evil in the world? Why are we here and where can we find purpose and hope? In this course, which covers the first 22 chapters of Genesis, participants will see that God created a beautiful world and gave people a noble calling in His creation. It explains how our world was fractured by human rebellion and presents the beginnings of God's plan to put everything back together.

We meet in person at New Covenant United Methodist Church. We also have online classes available through Zoom.
Registration is now open for women and men for our fall classes (2026-2027) beginning September 14.
Registration fee is $40 per person.
The book of Psalms has served as the hymnbook and prayerbook of God’s people from ancient times and on into the present.
This class will finish on April 27, 2026

Agape
Agape is an in-depth Bible Study for adults with intellectual disabilities that promotes transformation of hearts through God’s Word while participating in personal study, group discussion and fellowship. Adults with intellectual disabilities appreciate the opportunity to find a place where God’s Word is shared in a way that can be easily understood through adapted curriculum and creative teaching. Agape participants desire to be a part of a caring community that encourages becoming a disciple of Christ.
